Replacing the screen of your iPhone 5C Screen will save you time, money and privacy concerns with getting your phone repaired by someone else. Here we have outlined a guide to disassemble and replace the screen of your iPhone 5C. Replacing the screen of your iPhone 5C is quite similar to the iPhone 5S in terms of screw counts and locations but there are a few subtle differences. Before attempting this install, we recommend you grab one of our replacement kits so you have everything you need to complete this repair.

Get the kit: iPhone 5C Screen Replacement Kit

The replacement kit contains everything required to complete the install yourself.

Before beginning your install, we advise that you should backup your iPhone in iTunes so you can restore the device once the screen repair has been completed. Secondly, as you remove parts from the device, make note of them and lay them in the order in which you remove them to make reassembly easy.

    Removing the iPhone 5C Screen

Step 1: Remove sim tray from your device, if you have lost your original sim removal tool, simply unfold a paper clip and insert it into the hole on the side of your device.

Step 3: Attach the suction cap near the bottom of the screen in an area which isn't inhibited by a fracture which will cause the suction cap to lose suction. Pull the suction cap up and get the edge of the plastic tool under the edge of the screen. Run the plastic pry tool along the entire edge of the screen apart from the top, as there are cables there.

Step 4: Lift the screen up slightly so you can see the home button ribbon cable. Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully lever the connection point off.

Step 5: Lift the screen up and you'll see a metal cover at the top right held in with 4 screws, unscrew them and remove the metal cover. Lever up the 3 ribbons you just uncovered. The screen is now free.
