Charging port symptoms

• Charges only when the cable is held at an angle or intermittently connects
• No charge or no data sync after testing with a known good cable and adapter
• “Accessory not supported” errors from a clean, undamaged cable
• Bottom microphone is noisy or silent on models where it is part of the dock assembly

Wireless charging and NFC symptoms

• Wireless charging does not start or stops frequently on a compatible charger
• Apple Pay and NFC reads fail repeatedly after ruling out software issues
• Back glass damage near the coil location followed by charging or NFC issues

• Inspect and clean the port with a soft brush. Lint can block full insertion.
• Test with a different Apple certified or quality USB-C/Lightning cable and adapter.
• Remove thick cases or metal plates and align the device carefully on the wireless pad.
• Confirm your model identifier (A-number) in Settings > General > About and match it to the supported models on the product page.
• Newer models such as iPhone 15 use USB-C rather than Lightning. Check the product notes for your device generation.
